FIDO
FEST 2005
PCDR's 4th annual fundraiser
held at Gordon Biersch in Burbank was a great time for all.
Our Guest Host was none other than Patrika Darbo, star of "Days
of Our Lives," who was also recently featured in "Mr. & Mrs.
Smith" with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. To the staff
at PCDR, Patrika is best known as the wonderful adoptive mom
of PCDR pup "Bailey Darbo."
Our fundraiser included
jazz music, delicious food & drinks, amazing service by
the staff, and a silent auction. Our auction really caused
some fervor with items like a lunch date with actor Gary Oldman,
an exclusive 'never-done-before' behind the scenes tour of
Disney's animation studios, private training lessons with Mike
Torchia, trainer to the stars, and laser tooth whitening by
Sturgeon Cosmetic Dental Care!
Each year we pick someone
to honor who has dedicated their time and effort in helping
further the rescue of abandoned dogs. This time we chose Julie
Iles, an amazing trainer who works with our founder David to
train and socialize PCDR dogs. This enables each and every
dog a greater chance of success in finding and staying in their
new adoptive homes.
Thank you to everyone behind
the scenes and all the attendees, as every dollar earned counts
in helping to save lives!

Fall Fundraiser 2003
-- A HUGE Success!
 |
Over 175 guests, including Jillian Barberie, Matt
LeBlanc, and Linda Blair, gathered at Capriccio's
Italian Trattoria on November 6th, 2003 for PCDR's 3rd
Annual Fall Fundraiser. This year's event featured an
incredible silent auction, including a weekend in Mammoth,
CA, a year's supply of Natural Balance dog food, celebrity
memorabilia from Alicia Silverstone and others, and many
other amazing items. Guests also enjoyed live entertainment,
champagne courtesy of Barefoot Cellars, and a gourmet
Italian meal. We honored PCDR's wonderful veterinarian, Dr.
Mark Nunez of the Burbank VCA, for being so generous
with his time and services for the PCDR animals, and
all rescue animals.
Pictured are Jillian Barberie, PCDR adopter Pam McCoy,
and Matt LeBlanc, gathered to celebrate another amazing
year of helping the dogs!
Thanks to everyone who attended and made donations,
helping our event to be the best one we've ever had!

2003
Spring Fundraiser
PCDR's Spring 2003 Fundraising
event was held on June 1st at the Silent Movie Theater in Hollywood. 150
wonderful PCDR supporters joined host Linda Blair, Alan Seus, Diane
McBain and others for a garden party, live auction, and wonderful
silent movie program. The crowd gathered to celebrate everyone who
works so hard to help PCDR save so many dogs, and raised much needed
funds to help us save even more dogs in the future. Thanks so much
to everyone who helped make the evening possible!
Pacific
Coast Dog Rescue's 2002 Fall Fundraiser
Success!
PCDR's 2002 Fundraiser, held November 10 at
the Magic Castle in Hollywood, CA, was a big hit for all involved.
It was not a sleight of hand -- PCDR's animal supporters proved that
animal folk can clean up well, as they donned glamorous evening attire
for a mystical evening of magic and fun in LA's historic private
magic club. The evening started with a silent and live auction featuring
not one, but two trips to Las Vegas, a dog bed fit for a king donated
by DogGrip, celebrity items such as a one-of-a-kind Exorcist package
autographed by Linda Blair, and lots of other unique treasures.
The money raised at auction will go directly to PCDR's animal programs
- that means more dogs rescued, rehabilitated, and re-homed in 2003!
After the auction the partygoers
moved upstairs to the Magic Castle's sumptuous dining rooms for a
gourmet vegetarian meal. Re-fueled, it was back to the magic, with
a private magic show by some of the world's top magicians, and an
all-access pass to the many mysteries this private club has to offer.
Rumor has it that a couple of PCDR volunteers and supporters were
even coaxed up on stage to help the magicians with their acts
but
in the interest of privacy, we will keep those details secret. You'll
just have to attend the next fundraiser yourself to catch the show!
All the people and dogs at PCDR
send big tail wags of thanks to everyone who helped make the event
a huge success! We're already planning next year's event, and we
hope to see you all there.
